Car history: |
2) This one owner numbers matching 1969 Corvette Stingray L71 427/435 is a collectors dream. This car was purchased in 1969 by a Californian state engineer. He bought it to enjoy and not to preserve but nonetheless the car was garage kept and is still in immaculate condition. It has only 37,000 original miles on the car. This car is not a restoration this is original. In the early 70s the car was repainted in enamel but kept the original color of Monza Red. In the 80s the car had the clutch replaced. About 5 years ago a new exhaust was installed. The tires are Red Line OEM replicas by Coker tire. Regular maintenance and upkeep are the only time the car has ever been in the shop. The car has never been wrecked and is rust free. Despite the fact the car was never meant to be collected owner kept the original owners manual and warranty info. Two years ago he decided to retire and the car was purchased by a dealer which allows the title to still be in the original owners name. And the original California license plate is still on the vehicle. It is a true 1969 Stingray L71 427 cubic inch 435 horse tri-power numbers matching big block. It has the heavy duty Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. Its painted Monza Red and has the Saddle interior. The interior does have a tear in the drivers seat from dry rotting in the hot California climate but 2 brand new seat covers have been purchased and never installed. The car has the following factory options: Power steering, Telescopic/Tilt wheel, power windows, shoulder seat belts, removable back glass, Power brakes and stereo system. The stereo was replaced but we still have the original. Once again this car is not a restoration this is original and a must have for any collector. Get your piece of American history before Corvette production stops and the prices of Americas original muscle car skyrockets. Motor pad is T1109LR. 37,892 miles from the odometer. February 26, 2010. 1) Original 1969 Corvette Coupe 427 cubic inch 435 Horse Power. Car is guaranteed to be a lifetime California registered one owner car. The car is Monza Red (paint code 974) with saddle (trim code 421) Interior. The car was optioned with the following options: 435HP427 Engine, saddle leather trim interior, transistor Ignition system, positraction axle 3:36 ratio, 4 speed close-ratio transmission, AM/Fm pushbutton radio with stereo equipment, tinted glass, power windows, head restraints, F41 special purpose suspension, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, power steering, power brakes, front fender louver trim, & audio alarm system. The car has 37,xxx miles on it.This car is immaculate from top to bottom. It runs & drives flawlessly. I have in my possesion the following vehicle documentation: the vehicles California title issued to me (in my name) in 1972. (36 month financing was paid off in 1972). I have some Calif. registrations from four different decades (all in my name). I have the 1994 California smog inspection paperwork for this vehicle with the vin # & L71 435 listed on it. I have the tank sticker/ build sheet. Other miscelaneous paperwork & receipts. This car has had only one license plate (blue & yellow) since it was new. This Corvette is to a great degree original except for routine maintenance items. The vehicle has never needed a restoration. It has only been well maintained. There are several changes to the vehicle that are not as originaly equipped. I installed an aftermarket stereo cassette radio. I have the factory AM-FM radio. The car came with a seven leaf transverse leaf spring as part of the F41 suspension option. I replaced it with a factory nine leaf. The seven leaf springs ride was a little to stiff for my taste. The car is currently equiped with BF Goodrich T/A radials. This is a much better tire than was available in 1969. Brake calipers, belts & hoses have all had the normal routine maintenence. Paint on the car is pretty close to perfect. There are no stress cracks or paint chips. Motor suffix code is LR. 37,669 miles. May 18, 2008. |
